PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL DRIVE AT SHEEPY MAGNA, LEICESTERSHIRE.
The drive on site survey was extremely rough.
In parts there were very deep potholes that we upto 1 metre in diameter.
Also on certain parts of the drive the camber fell away quite severely which was not helping with the deterioration of the surface.
Our first task was to identify the eroded areas and evaluate if we could produce enough material on site to build the areas up or whether we would require an amount of imported material.
Our client alreay had a small amount of road planings left from his regular pot hole filling stock. We scattered these on the low areas and concluded that such was the groundtype that we could produce more than enough material to move around the site and grade to cambre.
Above you can see the first pass with the crusher. with just one pass you can see the quality of the processed material is excellent and produce the desired finish easily.
After the crushing process the material was apopotioned evenly throughout the entire site be means of careful grading.
Once camber, levels and material depth were correct the aggregate was then rolled into place.
Rolling was continued until the the desired level of compaction is achieved.
After rolling the drive is hard and durable and is operational for traffic.
Most clients find that the in the days and early weeks following the process, the strength of the site notably increases.
